Seen Around Paxton

I drive by the Paxton Bridge dozens of times each year, and every time I say to myself "I've got to stop next time a photograph those cairns. Well, I finally did it yesterday. I wandered around within a 100 yards of the bridge and saw all sorts of interesting things. I never saw these cairns under construction, but it was easy to imagine a wonderful community party dedicated to the project. On the other hand, maybe it was a serial effort over time by lots of individuals. Either way, a delightful scene that stirs the imagination. Click on each photo for a larger view and a caption. More comments on these photos and this place to come later.
