I came back to the spot where I saw this centipede early in the morning and it was still there. This time it wasn't quite so active so I got relatively sharp photos. I love to watch these and compare their locomotion and food-finding techniques with those of millipedes. I recommend it. Free entertainment, and one usually ends up with more appreciation of their roles in ecosystems and less fear of them.
