Harvest Forensics

 I couldn't find the weapon, but here's quite a bit of circumstantial evidence. 

 Once the flowering head is gone, I am better able to appreciate the beauty of an individual leaf.

 Such a mixture of art and math, not to mention biology, could occupy one's imagination for quite a long time.

 Makes me think of Goose Barnacles.

One "flower" is actually many.  The composites are wonders.
