It seemed like there would be no winter!

Taken toward the end of January, the 31st I believe, these don't look like winter.  We've since had a little snow, and more is forecast.  The rest of the narrative will be added later this evening.  First, I need to go walk in the rain and hope it turns to snow again.

  1. Love the lichen photo Joe. The irony is not lot on me with that Arrogant Bastard Ale image either. The west was won with superior weaponry and ruthless hearts.

  2. walking along a power line path always brings out opposing emotions. It provides great views of what is beautiful, and relatively easy walking. But also exposes the tendency to litter, to destroy, and to dominate. It always impresses me how quickly wild animal poop and carcasses return to the earth in a positive way and how persistent our plastic, glass, and metal are, not to mention the toxins we don't see, at least not directly. Thanks for the comment on the lichen. I love the color contrast.
