Oxalis stricta

 Also known as the Common Yellow Woodsorrel, this is both a native plant and a weed.  A native wildflower, if you like it, and a weed if you don't.  I love this plant.  It tastes good, although I wouldn't want to get too much oxalic acid in my system.  The flower and leaves are very attractive, but the most exciting part, to me, is the explosive seed pods.  I can hardly wait.
 Here are a few other views.  They're just now starting to bloom in my yard, so I'll be trying different compositions over the coming weeks, and maybe try to get a video clip of the exploding seed capsules.
